Gray Court Owings Historical Society News

The Gray Court Owings Historical Society is looking for new members.

We have a Museum in Owings and the Culbertson Backcountry Settlement in Gray Court.

We have log cabins that date back to 1800, an 1880 church, a 1900 one room African American School, and other out buildings.

We give tours and help people with genealogy. We go on tours and visit other historic sites in Laurens County.

If your are interested in History, genealogy, petroglyphs, and preserving the past for future generations come visit us or call 864-684-3033.

We will have a picnic on Thursday May 13 at the log cabins.

We will have a work day on May 11 for Spring cleaning on the inside and grass cutting and gardening on the outside. It is a fun time to meet each other.

Thank you,
Sarah Jane Armstrong
