Column: Inn the Know… Bell’s Bits

During the month of May, the City of Fountain Inn will continue its tradition of having its annual May Spring Cleaning (May 3-May 31).
However, this year, all pickups must be scheduled with Public Works. Email springcleaning@fountaininn.org or call and leave a message at (864) 724-8590 and we will coordinate a pickup day for your items. A few items of note:

• Only one pickup per household
• All bulky items must be brought to the curb on your scheduled day
• City Staff will not assist in carrying items to the curb
We will pick up the following items:
• Furniture & Household items
o Couches, chairs, tables, dressers, box springs, mattresses, floor lamps, cribs, playhouse, carpet (rolls), similar items
• Metal Items
o Washers, dryers, stoves, hot water tanks, bicycles, bed frames, similar items
• Tires
o Up to four (4) per household
We will NOT pick up the following:
• Loose/small items
• Construction/demolition waste
• Tree stumps
• Auto parts
• Hazardous materials such as oil, wet paint, batteries, light bulbs, antifreeze, chemicals

• 15th Annual Mac Arnold Cornbread & Collard Greens Blues Festival on April 24 from 4-10pm in Commerce Park
• Farmers Market from May 22-August 28; Saturdays from 8am-noon in Commerce Park
• Fountain Inn Police Department’s Annual Golf Tournament on May 26 at Carolina Springs Golf Course
• Chamber of Commerce’s Annual Taste Inn on May 27
• Sounds of Summer from June 4-August 27; Fridays from 7-9:30pm in Commerce Park
