The 23rd annual Gobbler Grab food drive is in the books. Boy Scout Order of the Arrow Lodge AKK 185 collected 602 frozen turkey donations this November. Order of the Arrow Atta Kulla Kulla Lodge 185 has been collecting frozen turkeys since 1997. Over the last 23 years they have had 13,406 turkeys donated, for approximately 87 tons of frozen turkeys. All turkey donations are distributed to 14 area food banks, food pantries, feeding programs and community organizations in the South Greenville County area. Order of the Arrow (OA) is the Boy Scouts Honor Society, members are nominated and elected by their peers for exemplifying the values of Scouting. OA members are dedicated to the ideal of “cheerful service”. They will be collecting the third week of November next year.
