The Fountain Inn Museum will proudly present the full month of November as veterans appreciation month. We will have a complete display of vehicles, uniforms, memorabilia, and veteran speakers.
On Tuesday, November 12, Navy veteran Mr. Jack McBade who served on the USS Yorktown during World War II was a special guest along with Mr. Mike Maier who served in the US Air Force for 24 years and a veteran of Vietnam.
On November 19, the museum will host Mr. Chuck Collins, who served in Korea with the US Air Force and as a flight control engineer. He will speak about his experiences during his service. Mr. Ron Urso, U.S. Navy, during the Cold War will speak about his experiences also while serving on a Baleo Class submarine and the USS Char 328. He will also speak about his time aboard a diesel electric submarine.
These programs are free to the public and all are invited to join us in honoring our veterans!
