Simpsonville resident, Diane Irving, became engaged to William Kyle Murphy of Greenwood, SC earlier this year. Both attended Clemson University, but didn’t meet until after college. Kyle moved to Greenville, SC for a position as project manager and estimator at Cely Construction. A friend of Diane’s owns Cely Construction Company. The couple was introduced by a mutual friend in 2012 at a bachelor auction. Their mutual friend will be conducting a beach blessing ceremony on the coast of South Carolina.
Mr. Thomas and Lucille Irving are overjoyed to give away their youngest daughter, Diane. Originally from Glen Cove, NY, the family moved to Simpsonville in 1985 for Thomas’ job at Michelin. He retired 10 years ago in Simpsonville.
The groom-to-be was born at Tyndall Air Force Base in Panama City, FL to parents, Mr. Dennis and Janet Murphy. Kyle grew up in Greenwood, SC. Dennis is a Florida native who moved to Greenwood, SC for his residency. He started a family practice called Piedmont Health Group with his business partners.
The two individuals will become one at a private ceremony in Simpsonville with immediate family in March 2020. Vows of true love will be shared with God, friends and family at the beach blessing in April 2020. Invitations to family and friends will follow the announcement.
