Have you ever felt honored to be a part of something? Maybe you don’t feel that way every single day, but every once in a while, you step back and see the big picture and say “WOW!” That’s how I feel about the Real Estate company where I do way more than “hang my license”…I’m actually a part of something incredible. I proudly say that for many reasons. Reasons I always enjoy talking with others about, so let me know if you read this and feel like you need more information about eXp Realty and all the amazing things we have to offer. But for now, I’m just going to tell you about our community involvement.
We have internal groups and ongoing events we put under an umbrella phrase, “I Heart eXp”. We have a social media page described as, “I Heart eXp is a place where agents can collaborate and form groups for local activities and community events. Every year there will be a “I Heart eXp” day for Agents to give back collectively to their communities.” So it’s a year round contribution system where eXp Agents and Employees globally can get involved to give back within their communities. We have one day per year we have declared as “I Heart eXp Day”. This year it is going to be October 7th and we have been working hard gathering for our local causes.
Our chosen charity for South Carolina is Pendleton Place located right here in Greenville, SC . This fantastic place provides youth residency and family counseling services; works with the hospital and DSS in a unique way to break the cycle of abuse and neglect. Currently they have an Amazon Smile wish list that asks for mainly toiletries and such items to help provide basic needs for their clients.
On another branch of community give back, my personal group of eXp Agents known as MyRoots, has gathered many school supplies and items needed that will be presented to Lakes & Bridges Charter School in Easley, SC. In a brief description on their Facebook page it’s stated that “Lakes and Bridges offers a multi-sensory curriculum specifically tailored to teach children with dyslexia and related reading challenges how to read and succeed.” I assure you there’s so much more to it. They are a newer facility and they are greatly in need of the community for support.
At our eXp Realty MyRoots monthly meeting for August we had April Hayes, a representative for the school, come and share the story with us. We learned a lot from April, and I believe I speak for the entire group by saying, the desire to go as far as we can to assist this school and their wonderful program grew even more. We are delighted to be partnered with Lakes and Bridges Charter School to help the children and their families in the Upstate of South Carolina.
If you would like to join us in our efforts to glorify the givers of these two organizations by donating or getting involved, please contact me at 864-982-2272. My group is ecstatic to bridge the gap of community and local needs and we welcome your hands and hearts too.
Please feel free to reach out to me at brande.gorham@exprealty.com or message me on Facebook at Brande Bree Gorham Realtor. Have a blessed day and I look forward to hearing from you soon.♦
