Fountain Inn Museum celebrates Independence Day with Carnival/Fundraiser

The Museum sponsored a star-spangled event on Saturday, July 6, with activities ranging from traditional carnival games to panning for gold. Although the event was partially planned as a fundraiser, the museum assistant director, Kenzie Galloway, aimed to attract families to the museum, not only making them familiar with the site, but also encouraging the children to see the museum as an interesting and engaging place.

More than 15 volunteers managed the games and attractions, which included a spectacular chili dog, and fantastic cotton candy. It is estimated that more than 150 people (most of them children) visited, played, got their faces painted, snacked on cotton candy . . and won prizes.♦
