Mauldin Hires Business & Development Services Department Director

MAULDIN, SC – During its February 18, 2019 meeting, Mauldin City Council appointed its Economic Development Planner David Dyrhaug as the Director of its Business and Development Services Department. Dyrhaug brings a depth of experience in planning, economic development and zoning. Dyrhaug has over 15 years of public sector planning and management experience, more than 9 of which have been in senior level management positions for local governments. Prior to joining the City as its Economic Development Planner, Dyrhaug was the Interim City Administrator for the City of Simpsonville, and served as its Planning Director prior to that role.

The City is excited to have Dyrhaug as the Business and Development Services Director. Dyrhaug received his Bachelor of Science degree in Planning and Resource Management from Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah and his Master of City and Regional Planning degree from Clemson University in Clemson, South Carolina. He is certified by the American Institute of Certified Planners.
