The Time for Giving and Selling

I think it’s safe to say that 2017 has been a monumental year in Real Estate, especially in the Upstate. People are still lined up at the gates trying to find their homes in the ever-expanding Greenville area. We have several large businesses coming and that means more jobs. Our economy is steady in this market and there’s no better place to recognize this value than in the Real Estate trends.

Even in the Holiday Season, Buyers are a plenty, and no signs of that number decreasing any time soon. Sellers can “give” but listing their houses and offering these Buyers options. I love how more and more Sellers are realizing that the value of their home is quite often more than what they accounted for. This allows Sellers to still get top dollar AND sell in a very reasonable amount of time. And let’s not discount that Mortgage Rates are still quite lower that what they had predicted for 2017, so these Buyers are ready to commit and lock in with the good rates. I think Redfin summed it up nicely by stating, “We believe price increases will hold steady despite slowing sales growth, because homebuyer demand is stronger now than it was at the same time last year, and because we foresee a small uptick in homes for sale,” said Nela Richardson, chief economist at Redfin.

Most folks think that Real Estate slows down this time of year, and I’m here to tell you that could not be further than the truth. I personally have been blessed to get a couple Buyers under contract in the last few weeks, and several closings scheduled between Thanksgiving and mid-January. We are in the south and the weather isn’t really a factor here, so Sellers can take advantage of that old idea and beat the spring burst of listings. NOW is a FABULOUS time to list your house and get it SOLD! Call me today and we can have a conversation. I think you will be pleasantly surprised with your options.

Remember, I work year-round, I’m never too busy to help you, and your referrals are more than welcome. I hope to hear from you soon.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!!!♦
