Sylvia Lockaby announces candidacy for County Council

To my family, friends and citizens of Greenville County,

I am announcing that I will be running for Greenville County Council, District 28. There will be a Republican primary in June and a general election will be held on November 6, 2018.

I have served on the Simpsonville City Council for eight years and I felt it was time to move on to another area to serve even more citizens of Greenville County.  I was asked what I would bring with me as a candidate for Greenville County Council District 28.  My response was, “the people.”  I have listened to you and have always followed through with any issues you brought to me.

I have lived in Simpsonville for over forty-five years and my husband Charles (Charlie) and I have attended Bridgeway Church for twenty-eight years.  We have four children, eight grand-children and five great- grandsons (and another great-grandchild on the way).

I retired from the U S Postal Service after working there for thirty-three years.  Volunteering at church with meals and assisting when there are programs in the church is a passion of mine.  I am a member of the Greenville Republican Women’s Club and treasurer of the Simpsonville Garden Club.

I enjoy assisting citizens with their issues and will continue to be attentive to their needs and help in any way I can.  I am committed to focusing on issues that impact southern Greenville County.

In order to achieve these goals your financial support will be greatly appreciated!  If you would like to donate to my campaign, please send your check to: PO Box 80483, Simpsonville, SC 29680.
Thank you and may God bless you and Greenville County.♦
