Fountain Inn Police Department’s Citizens Police Academy is a twelve week, 24 hour course consisting of structured lesson plans created to inform the citizens of Fountain Inn about the basic functions of the police department. There is no cost to attend the academy, and 20 participants will be selected from a pool of applicants.
The Citizens Police Academy will be held Tuesday evenings from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. beginning on February 20th, 2018, and continuing until May 22nd, 2018.
The Fountain Inn Police Department’s Community Patrol Division is hosting the Citizens Police Academy. These classes are designed to eliminate popular misconceptions about police officers and the job we do. The curriculum is intended to remove barriers that might exist when police officers interact with citizens.
