Doctors Care facility opens in Mauldin

At a ribbon-cutting ceremony on December 14, 2017, Mauldin Mayor Dennis Raines welcomed Mauldin’s newest business, Doctors Care, to the community.  As part of the ceremony, Mauldin High School Principal, Chris Peake, received a $1000 check from the organization.

The new Doctors Care facility, located at 793 Butler Road, adjacent to Bojangles and a short distance from Mauldin High School, covers 4300 square feet and includes 8 exam rooms, a trauma area, laboratory, and x-ray rooms.  Facility hours are 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Mondays-Fridays and 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on weekends. evaluation, sprains, and burns); family care; physicals; vaccinations (flu, tetanus, pneumonia, and hepatitis B); occupational health and worker’s compensation; and hearing evaluations as well as discounted hearing aids.  For those with busy schedules, Doctors Care offers online check-in and virtual doctor visits at DoctorsCare.com/Anywhere.

Mauldin, the newest Doctors Care location in South Carolina, is the ninth such site in the Upstate.  This organization chose Mauldin because it’s the seventh fastest growing city in the state with rapidly increasing healthcare needs.  According to Dr. Thomas Gibbons, President of Doctors Care, “For almost four decades now, our medical professionals have provided quality care—that is also convenient –to families and employers across South Carolina.  We can see your family today, and we can provide your family great value in the healthcare space.  This newest Upstate location is a testament of our long-term commitment to these values and the communities we’ve always served.”

Doctors Care, one of the largest urgent care companies in the United States, is not part of any local hospital system.  Its mission is to provide convenient, affordable, and accessible urgent and family care as well as occupational services.  It has expanded from its first clinic opened in Columbia, South Carolina in 1981 to 52 locations throughout the state.♦
