Simpsonville Fire Department celebrates Grand Opening of Fire Station #5

The Simpsonville Fire Department celebrated the grand opening of its newest fire station at 400 E. Standing Spring Road on Monday, April 30, 2018.

A joint effort between Greenville County and the City of Simpsonville to serve the growing Simpsonville community, Station 5 houses Fire Engine licensed by DHEC to provide First Responder service at the EMT-Intermediate level, built-in training props for rescue training, and staffs 3 personnel per shift.

The 9,000 square foot station will serve the western area of the Simpsonville Fire District, an area that has been growing rapidly.  The current response time in that area is 7-8 minutes. The new station will reduce the response time to under three minutes.

With the addition of Station 5, the Simpsonville Fire Department operates out of five stations strategically located throughout the District.  The other stations are Headquarters located at 403 E Curtis Street, Station 2 at 9 Capewood Road, Station 3 at 839 Highway 14, and Station 4 at 1375 Neely Ferry Road.
