Fountain Inn SC – The Fountain Inn Music Club has announced its Christmas Tour of Homes for Sunday afternoon, December 10, from 2 PM until 5 PM. Included are four homes in mid-town Fountain Inn especially decorated for the season.
This is the 30th year of the home tour, established in order to raise scholarship funds for upstate music students at the high school or college level. According to Music Club president Tonya Cary, the Fountain Inn chapter has been active in assisting young musicians since its inception 79 years ago. Currently, one university student and five high school students are receiving FIMC scholarship support.
High school junior Emily Pilgrim, a scholarship winner, will perform for the FIMC reception at the tour’s starting point in the Younts Center for Performing Arts. The Center will serve as the hub for this year’s tour.
Featured homes for the tour include those of Rodney and Donna Brown (Gulliver Street), David and Kim Thomas (South Weston Street), Henry Fulmer and Derrill Felkel (North Main Street), Jill and Christopher Tucker (North Main Street).
Tickets are $12 and may be purchased at the Younts Center box office at 315 North Main Street, open M-Th from 10 AM til 2 PM, and on Friday until noon. Tickets are also available from Music Club members.
Each home tour ticket includes free admission to an upcoming concert by the Fountain Inn Chorale.
