Bell’s Bits – I want to thank all the Veterans in the Golden Strip for their service. We can never adequately give our Veterans the praise they deserve, but the City of Fountain Inn did hold a very nice Veterans Day program on November 11th at the Activities Center.

December 6th through December 8th come enjoy a night filled with Christmas classics, holiday movie favorites, soulful songs of the season, and so much more! While you are there at the Younts Center, be sure to check out the Merry Market… the City’s annual holiday craft show.

The Rotary Club of Fountain Inn invites you to their annual turkey shoot on November 23rd from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at 700 North Woods Drive. Only $5 per shot (shells are provided) and 12- or 20-gauge shotguns only. The winner in each round wins a gift card and the round winners will have a “shoot off” for the grand prize.
Fairview Trade Days will be held on Saturday, November 16th from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. This holiday vendor market at Capstone Church in Fountain Inn will have 40 vendors selling their handmade and curated goods. All the vendors are local small business and its free to attend.
Attention runners and walkers, the City of Fountain Inn’s annual Rudolph Run will be held on Friday, November 29th. Register online at http://cofipar.siplay.com/site/. The one-mile kids run starts at 6:00 p.m., the 5K run starts at 6:45 p.m., and the awards ceremony begins at 8:00 p.m. All proceeds from the race go towards the Fountain Inn Kid Enrichment Center (FIKE), an after school and mentoring program for under resourced boys and girls in Fountain Inn. Our famous Christmas festival will be here before you know it. The annual Fountain Inn Chamber of Commerce Christmas parade will be held on December 4th and will kick off at 5:30 p.m. On Thursday, December 5th, Christmas Inn Our Town begins with the tree lighting at 5:30 p.m. on City Hall grounds. Our three weeks of Christmas festivities, including our renowned horse drawn carriage rides, will continue through December 22nd. New this year is a small petting zoo on the grass in front of the stage in Commerce Park. There will be live music by Kami Ocean on December 7th, carolers on December 14th and 20th, and live music by The Flashbacks on December 21st.

I hope everyone has a wonderful Thanksgiving Holiday. Capstone Church is hosting a “Feast for All” on Thanksgiving Day from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Fountain Inn Activities Center. This FREE Thanksgiving lunch will have smoked turkey and all the fixin’s. The entire Fountain Inn community is invited to enjoy a time of food and fellowship.
