Street Smarts Sentinel Article

Dear Connie & Bob

…once again, I am complimenting you and the Sentinel for the articles written in the Street Survival column. Rick Grover always has practical ideas, and this month I really like his ideas on self-protection in ways other than firearms. I am not a citizen so cannot own firearms and wouldn’t be interested in having guns around anyway…so I appreciate his ideas.

Sending love to you and Bob!

  1. After mayor Janice Curtis’ war with police Chief Keith Grounsel and later she and the council ousted him from office I was so disappointed. There was no need for such an adversarial relationship, and her fight with Grounsel was uncalled for because he was a good police chief and was doing a great job. Thus I was overjoyed today to read in the Sentinel that Paul Shewmaker had won the mayoral race in Simpsonville. I liked Shewmaker’s ad about Change is Coming and that is exactly what the city needs. Looking for better things now for Simpsonville. While I live south of Simpsonville, I do a lot of shopping there. The city and entire Golden Strip has been growing tremendously during the last couple decades, and the residents need to have a government working for them.
