Fountain Inn Museum Exhibit Opens August 21

Fountain Inn SC – The Making of a Small Town, a new exhibit on display at the Fountain Inn Museum, runs from August 21 through December 24.
The exhibit tells the story of the town’s development from a roadside stagecoach stop to a thriving agricultural community. The time span goes from the late 18th century through the 1930s. Through a collection of vintage photos and filmed interviews, the exhibit illustrates hardships foreign to our current interstate highway culture.

The Making of a Small Town is made possible by a grant from the South Carolina Humanities, a non-profit organization that supports projects featuring history, culture and heritage.

Museum admission is free, and the hours are Tuesday through Friday, 10 AM to 6 PM, and Saturday from 9 AM till 2 PM. For information, go to fountaininnmuseum.org. Or call (864) 862-2586.■
